As a second year student in the Community, Family, and Child Studies program at Camosun College, I am honoured to have received a practicum placement with Project Respect!
My last practicum was with Island Sexual Health Society (who are awesome) and I’m excited to continue on with a placement relating to sexual health, education, and prevention of sexualized violence.
There’s so much going on here and there’s so much to know. Consent, colonization… food justice: these are just a few of the important issues I’ll be working on and I’m really excited to get started and begin engaging with youth on these topics.
