About our team

School Program Coordinator & Educator

Allison (she/her) has a background in childhood education, counselling and improvisational theatre. She has worked for several years in community management facilitating anti-oppressive change, and she is currently engaged as a counsellor with a focus on supporting the LGBTQ community.

Community Youth Program Coordinator

Phoebe (they/them/theirs) is a queer, trans non-binary, second generation settler of Chinese descent. Born and raised on Unceded Tsleil-Waututh, Squamish and Musqueam lands, Phoebe moved to lək̓ʷəŋən-speaking territories in 2020 and has had the privilege of living there as an uninvited visitor ever since. They have a background in gender studies and studies in sexuality and are passionate about working with youth, in particular LGBTQIA+ youth and youth of colour. They are dedicated to learning and unlearning through an anti-racist, anti-oppressive and decolonial lens and strives to incorporate these frameworks into providing accessible education and support for youth.

Research Manager

Annaléa (she/her) has over 10 years of experience in program evaluation and youth participatory action research design, implementation and dissemination through her work at community-based research organizations in Alberta and BC, as well as trauma-informed practice working with youth and adults living with mental health issues and disabilities.

Laura (she/her/ella) is a Latinx Venezuelan with Colombian roots and has been an immigrant to what is colonially known as Canada. An uninvited guest to Mohkinstsis, Treaty 7 Territory (Calgary, AB) for 16 years, and now living and working in the Unceded Coast Salish Territory of the lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ Nations (Victoria, BC). She has devoted a decade in the non-profit sector providing programming and services to individuals and general public on social issues such as sexualized violence, human trafficking, poverty, mental health, and immigrant/refugee services. Laura thrives in working collaboratively and is very proud of the hard work staff and youth put into making Project Respect possible.
